Objective: Define a fit for purpose agile maturity roadmap to support the acceleration of delivery across the Digital Portfolio and agile capacity uplift of teams.

The solution:

  • Conducted an assessment of current state agile maturity across  Digital division, from portfolio to team level

  • Creation of an agile maturity roadmap based on the insights of  current state; including design principles, operating model, roles  and responsibilities,

  • Capability uplift of team agility through on the ground agile  coaching, training and development of User guides, Templates and  Delivery Playbook to support agile ways of working.

Bringing Product Ownership to life

Case Study 5

The Challenge

Industry: Insurance

Objective: To empower Product Teams to own the end to end lifecycle for their technical products.

The solution

Designed, built and embedded an end to end Product Ownership framework to support capability uplift across the organisation.

Leveraged concepts and tools from Scaled Agile, Product Management, Human Centred Design, SCRUM and Service Management to bring Product Ownership to life. This involved;

  1. Defining the Product Vision and Customer Value Proposition

  2. Assessing technical Product health against standard metrics and a compliance checklist

  3. Incepting large initiatives, and

  4. Planning a holistic backlog equally valuing customer change and maintenance

  • Organisational definition of Product Ownership

  • Defined the personas in the Product space

  • Designed and built an end to end Product Ownership and Planning Framework

  • Embedded through facilitated learn and do sessions to create Product Plans

  • Established a quarterly cadence for Product Planning

  • Built out the Operating Standards for Control Towers and Enablers to uplift the interlock between Enterprise Standards and Product Teams

Designed and built the end-to-end process from front door through delivery execution to value realisation.

CASE STUDY 7

The Challenge

Industry: Mining

Objective: To develop and embed the Design Thinking capability for all employees to have the ability to create innovative products and services that are valuable, usable and have longevity across the mine sites and technology in Australia, Americas and Papua New Guinea.

The solution

Created a Design Thinking Framework for all employees to make the shift from solutioning to user-driven design by putting the User Experience (UX) at the forefront of each engagement.

  1. Assisted multiple inflight projects with Design Thinking workshops, design principles, prototyping and visual design language.

  2. Established a Design Thinking Community of Practice to support embedment, mindset shift and adoption.

  3. Supported and trained the uplift of visual collaboration tools to increase collaboration skills and usage of innovation, prototyping and feedback loops.

  4. Created and supported the buildout of a fit-for-purpose Design Thinking Playbook and Toolbox.

  5. Developed and facilitated training to support the capability uplift using a real-life case study for hands-on learning.

  6. Built a portal for employees to self-serve with templates, tools, training, success stories and standardised component libraries.

  7. Assisted in planning, roll out and workshopping of AI tooling across a pilot group of 250+ users.

The Challenge

Industry: Marketplace

Objective: To uplift and mature the Information Technology Disaster Recovery Capabilities across the enterprise.  

The solution

  1. Defined and rolled out a repeatable Business Impact Assessment process to understand business impacts in the event of a disaster and gather information required to develop recovery strategies.  

  2. Created standards, processes and templates to ensure consistency of technical recovery documentation. 

  3. Defined and rolled out training and education to increase awareness of disaster recovery responsibilities and practices across the enterprise.

  4. Produced reporting to demonstrate compliance against policy and highlight risk. 

  5. Developed a transition plan and operating model to support an ongoing Technology Resilience function. 

  6. Coached and facilitated agile ways of working across the program through Quarterly Planning, SCRUM, and SCRUM of SCRUM ceremonies.
